It’s officially April Fools Day, also known as the birthday of the Weasley twins.
I thought I’d use this post to rate some of my favourite moments of pranks, laughs and sarcasm from my favourite characters. Why not add some of yours below, from the page and screen!
1. The Ghost Scene – Crooked Kingdom
When the six of crows are gathered in a cemetery and talk about ghosts. Who’s didn’t embody a Kaz Breker Grin when he says I’d get Matthias ghost to beat you up and he claps back with the classic my ghost wouldn’t associate with yourself! It’s a goofy light humoured moment when you’re reminded how young the crows really are!
2. The Office Rivalry – The Hating Game
Enemies to Lovers. My All Time Favourite Trope! The competitive sarcastic sexual tension filled banter between Lucy and Josh makes every time they bicker, a prime moment of romantic comedy.
3. The Weasleys Twins’ Fireworks – The Order of the Phoenix
That iconic legendary scene where Fred and George disrupt one of the golden trios exams, with fireworks and illusions, ending with Umbridge running away screaming from a illusionist yet menacing lion, seemingly made from sparks and fireworks as all her framed rule s shatter to the ground, will put a guaranteed smirk on your face.
4. The Cake Scene- Red, White and Royal Blue
To think the soulmate sparking romance between the First Som of the United States, Alex, and the spare to the British Throne, Prince Henry all started when Henry’s brothers cake falls on top of them at the wedding. The fallout just adds to the side splitting humour of the whole scene.
5. Team Weird – The Time Police
Much like The Hating Game, this series (though a science fiction time travelling adventure) has sarcastic friendly banter between its three team members, historian raised Matthew, why but badass Jane, and former rich boy Luke. From when Like walks into a door and Matthews sarcastic reply of we usually open them first, Jane calling out a fellow team for being as she says ‘cock wombles’ and Matthews glee at telling Like the news of Jane’s Date and his reaction, and Jane telling Like to ‘fire truck off Parrish’ and more makes for a hilarious series:
